Our barn quilts are made with MDO (medium density overlay) plywood that will last through any kind of weather. We also use the best exterior paint from Sherwin Williams, so the quilt will not fade. We then seal it with a gloss varnish also from Sherwin Williams. By using these items your barn quilt will be maintenance-free for years to come.
MDO is the best material for making barn quilts because it is an exterior wood that is meant for signs and will last for years! MDO panel is a paintable surface made of plywood with a weather-resistant resin overlay bonded to the wood by heat and pressure. The overlay, which has at least 27% resin content, resists water, weather, wear, and degradation.
We currently offer 11 different sizes, if you would like a custom size please reach out to us and we will see how we can help. We can also do any colors that you would like. You can visit elbarnquilts.com to see what colors we have or you can pick any colors from Sherwin Williams website.
